So, sorry i have not written for a while. My life has been terribly hectic. I now live in Ojai, california on a working farm. we produce eggs, lemons, and avocados for market mostly, and we have chickens, turkeys, sheep (SHEEP!!), goats, and tons of squirrels. I have one pet squirrel named Prince Fluffy Shiny Poofy Roadrunner (named by the awesome children on the farm). He is soooo sweet, but not handle-able yet :) I am the animal and orchard caretaker! It is awesome. right now i am in training with this guy Scott, but he is moving to South America with his fiance, so i am stealing his job. and house. and electric car. It really is a wonderful job, and i just happened upon it when i typed in "sheep" under the Jobs section of california craigslist! I live here with my boyfriend Nathan. He is gorgeous, South African, and sweet, but not overbearingly puppy dog sweet (i hate that). He is great, and we just randomly decided to move to Cali together. We got our first car, well, my first car. it is a shiny royal blue honda accord 2005. pretty pretty pretty! the people here are awesome, kids are smart and fun (which is what i like in a kid...i am tired of uninterested rowdy children. i like these intelligent, curious ones because it is like having a tiny friend). the kids like to help me with chores and play with roadrunner and we have a good time. Well, there is my lunchtime update. Now i must go shear SHEEP!

So, i may be getting a new rat! yes, i wish that rat could be Sam, but no, i will not feel guilty if i have to get a new rat. Andre has said that i can keep the rat at his place, since my parents will not allow me to keep a rat at home. i love rats. they are seriously the greatest pets. rats and horses. awesome, awesome.

Three years without a word to you. Nothing to do. I am so sorry I was not there when you needed me the most. No one knew how close we were, no one would have understood, you are in my cells, boy, and nothing else matters. Carpool. Brusters. I understood you, you understood me. I am sorry we couldnt talk those last few months, things might have turned out differently. The thing I hate the most in the world is the fact that we both knew that this life is the only life. we will never see each other ever again. we won't meet up in Heaven. we wont meet up in Hell. we will just sit, disintegrating, nourishing the Earth. I dont sit around and think, "At least he's in a better place," and i hate when people say that to me. life sucks, JP. you knew it. that's why you left when you did. people come and go so strangely here. i miss you, babe. I always will.

So, it was brought to my attention that, in order to get the level of US Government security clearance that I want, I will need to serve in the US military for at least four years. So, I was thinking...Navy or Air Force? So I went over to the recruiting offices for the different branches (they are in separate offices next to each other in a strip plaza thing) and the Navy and Air Force branches were closed. The only office that was open was the Marine Corps. So I went into the Marine Corps office and I asked the recruiter, "What time do the Navy and Airforce open?" The recruiter said, "WE ARE MARINES. WE DO NOT DEAL WITH OTHER BRANCHES UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. IF YOU WANT TO BE A MARINE, YOU CAN BE A MARINE. WE CAN MAKE THAT HAPPEN. DO YOU WANT TO BECOME A MARINE TODAY?" And I was like, "Oh, no thanks". But I gave him my number and such anyways. If they really want me, they can have me. I just need something for four years. I would prefer it to be Air Force.

So, I finally got a real job, even if it is not forever. I am now an official-already been fingerprinted-already been sworn in-government official. I work at the US Census Bureau office in Augusta, Ga. YAY. I am really excited because I get to fingerprint people and hire people and lots of exciting things. I control things now. for reals. But really, it is a great opportunity for me, it will get me connections and rapport with people who can further my interests at a national level. Once I work my way up the chain here in the lovely United States, I can further my own interests at an international level. One day I will have all of the influence I want and all of the clearance I need.

So, today I am getting my gallbladder removed. The surgeon should be here to brief me within the next hour. I think they are just going to do the surgery laproscopically, but I am not sure. I am sort of glad that this is happening, because I am hopeful that after they finish the surgery, I won't feel like shit all the time. The downside is that I will have to completely change the way I eat. One website on gallbladder removal says that, once the gallbladder is out, you can no longer eat chicken, red redmeat, most starches, corn, onions, cauliflower, alcohol, soda, etc. Those are some of my favourite things!  Oh well, what needs to happen should happen. The site also says that once you have your gallbladder removed, your liver is forced to process all of your body's sludge alone and that you can more easily develop biliary stones in your liver. I hate bodily stones! Like kidney stones...eck.  Besides the whole being in the hospital bed all day and not eating anything for three days (so far), I like the hospital. I love doctors, and nurses are nice, so I am pretty happy. Plus, I am at the best hospital ever, University Hospital, so it's deeeece. Peace. God Bless. Totally joking...
